Viewing Direction Based LSB Data Hiding in 360° Videos

In this paper, we propose a viewing direction based least significant bit (LSB) data hiding method for 360° videos. The distributions of frequency latitude and longitude are used to control the amount secret be hidden at latitude, longitude, or both Normalized Gaussian mixture models mimicking behavior humans formulated define weight functions longitude. On basis, analytical expressions capacity offered by proposed hide in cover videos derived. Numerical results using different numbers planes popular video resolutions provided. fidelity is assessed terms peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR), weighted-to-spherically uniform PSNR (WS-PSNR), non-content-based perceptual (NCP-PSNR). experimental illustrate that NCP-PSNR returns highest because it gives lower weights impact LSB on outside front regions near equator. visual quality as perceived structural similarity (SSIM) index SSIM (NCP-SSIM) index. show SSIM-based metrics able account spatial information scenes while PSNR-based cannot exploit information. Furthermore, NCP-SSIM reflects much better with respect directions compared SSIM.
